BRANDON, FL (TBO.com) From in-store trick trick-or-treating to self-contained fall-themed events at schools and churches, Halloween alternatives in the Brandon area are gaining in popularity.
Lamb of God Lutheran Church in Lithia just wrapped up a week of Godtoberfest, which kicked off with a children’s carnival on Oct. 5. The fall-themed festivities raised money for the church’s Open Arms Early Childhood Center.
First United Methodist Church of Brandon, 121 N. Knights Ave., is hosting its annual fall festival Oct. 27 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Dan Palmer of Brandon, director of Outreach & GroupLife Ministries at First United, said the event is a “safe and fun-filled, one-stop alternative to trick-or-treating.”
