TAMPA, Fla. (970 WFLA) - A federal judge will allow Courtnee Brantley to remain free on bond, even though prosecutors wanted her bond revoked.
Brantley, who was with ex-boyfriend Dontae Morris the night investigators say he killed two Tampa police officers, was convicted this year for concealing information about Morris they believe may have spared the officers' lives.
Lately, prosecutors say Brantley failed to check in with her probation officer a number of times. She told Judge James Moody she simply forgot.
In spite of that fact, Judge Moody is allowing Brantley to remain free on bond. But he cautioned her that if she violates the conditions of her release one more time, she'll go to jail.
Meantime, Morris' trial for the deaths of Tampa police officers Jeff Kocab and Dave Curtis begins next week with jury selection taking place in Orlando.
