Erin is moving toward the west at 9 miles an hour. Forecasters expect Erin to continue toward the west over the next several days.
Erin remains well out in the Atlantic. Latest position has Erin 1,000 miles west-northwest of the Cape Verde Islands.
Erin remains a threat to shipping interests. There are no watches or warnings for any coastal areas as a result of Tropical Storm Erin.
