HOLIDAY, Fla. (AP) - The death of a rapper whose body was found at a teenager's birthday party in Holiday is being investigated as a homicide.

According to a news release, Pasco County Sheriff's Office deputies say Shamir Garnelo was killed during the party at an American Legion hall. Garnelo's body was found in a bathroom at the hall, which was being rented out for the birthday celebration.

Authorities were called to the scene early Saturday morning.

Garnelo, a 21-year-old rapper, was at the party for a performance. A cause of death has not been released yet.
