Sarasota, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Police have charged 39 year-old Irana Negrete in a single vehicle crash that took place near Higel Avenue and Siesta Drive back in April.
Officers say the Bradenton woman was driving an SUV that ran off the road and hit a tree. Negrete and one of her passengers were injured in the crash. Another passenger, 29 year-old Christopher Tirado of Bradenton, was dead at the scene.
Police arrested Negrete after toxicology and DNA tests from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement showed her blood alcohol levels were .116 and .117.
Negrete is charged with DUI Manslaughter, DUI with serious bodily injury, no driver's license in a fatal crash, no driver's license in a serious injury crash and three counts of DUI property damage.
