Tampa, Fla. (970 WFLA)-Wednesday evening's thunderstorms brought strong wind gusts. Peter O. Knight Airport reported a wind gust of 52 mph, the Port of Tampa Cruise Terminal reported a gust as high as 46 mph.
Around 7:30 pm, a large tree fell over on a van trapping and injuring two people inside. It happened in the 2700 block of North Florida Avenue. Tampa Fire and Rescue pulled the couple out, both were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
