Tampa, Fla. (970 WFLA)-Three people shot and killed on the streets of Tampa. The killer yet to be captured. A person of interest is seen on surveillance video. Anthony Naiboa wasn't supposed to be there. The 20-year-old Tampa man was taking the bus home from work Thursday night and got off at the wrong stop--on N. 15th Street in Seminole Heights.
At the same time, police were patrolling the area, providing more of a presence following the random shooting deaths of two others in that neighborhood this month. Officers heard a gunshot.
Minutes later, they found Naiboa's body at 15th Street near N. Conover Street. He had been shot to death. The shooter was nowhere to be found.
"I go from frustration to anger on these unsolved homicides, and now we have someone who is terrorizing the neighorhood," said Tampa's interim Police Chief Brian Dugan.
21-year-old Benjamin Mitchell was found shot to death at a bus stop on 15th Street October 9th. Four days later, the body of 32-year-old Monica Hoffa was found a few blocks away in a vacant lot on E. New Orleans Avenue.
Dugan is urging residents in that area to turn on their porch lights and not walk alone at night.
He's also hoping someone recognizes a person caught on surveillance video walking in that area around the time Mitchell was murdered.
