Newly-released video shows Polk County school bus attendant Brenda Nelson repeatedly yelling and hitting a special needs student on board a bus filled with students from the Doris Sanders Learning Center in Lakeland.

The victim can be heard screaming as detectives say Nelson pulled the student's hair and slapped her.

Nelson was arrested and charged with child abuse.  The Polk County school district says it's in the process of firing Nelson, who has worked as a bus assistant in Polk County since 1983.
