TAMPA (970 WFLA) -- A fire that burned down a warehouse Saturday afternoon, is declared an accident.
Hillsborough Fire Rescue says it was "spontaneous combustion" at Plantain Products off Causeway Boulevard. Cottonseed oil and other discarded cooking items were stored inside an open 55 gallon drum. The 25,000 square foot warehouse was declared a total loss.
The company makes Chifles Chips, a plantain product. Chifles' website says online ordering has been temporarily halted.
