2018 Distinguished Victim Services Awards for National Victim Rights Week

Tampa, FL – 

Tampa Bay’s Julie Weintraub was nominated for the 2018 Distinguished Victim Services Awards and selected as a winner for special recognition as an Outstanding Victim Advocate for her work through Hands Across the Bay by Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi.

In addition, Hand’s Across The Bay’s Violence Prevention Advocate, Melissa Dohme, has been selected as a special guest speaker at the Victims’ Rights Week Special Tribute Ceremony in Tallahassee on April 11, 2018. 

During National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, April 8-14, 2018, a commemorative ceremony in Tallahassee will honor individuals who have distinguished themselves in the preservation of the rights of crime victims.

Julie Weintraub’s Hands Across the Bay is a 501 (c) (3) that was developed to positively impact the lives of as many Tampa Bay residents as possible. Hands Across the Bay assists and mentors hardworking families in need, advocate for change, support other organizations, and spread love with various acts of kindness. Through their work, they hope to inspire the Tampa Bay community to become more compassionate, empathetic, and charitable.
