DEAD! Pinellas Park Murder Suspect Killed In Police Shoot-Out!


Pinellas Park, fLA. (970 WFLA)- Pinellas Park Police tell Newsradio 970 , Steven Brook wanted for the murder of Caroline Morton-Hicks was killed in a shoot out with Pennsylvania State Police

Brook is the suspect in the Pinellas Park murder of a musician.  

Sgt. Mike Lynch of Pinellas Park PD says 45-year-old Siddeeq Ma'Shooq, also known as Steven Brooks, is wanted for the shooting death of Caroline Morton-Hicks as she was leaving an orchestra practice on February 12th.  

Pinellas Park Police confirm  Brooks was found driving a stolen truck in Washington County,  Pennsylvania.   Brooks led Pennsylvania State Police on a police chase,  that ended in an officer involved shooting.

Wednesday evening, investigators tracked down Ma'Shooq to MadisonOn unty, Alabama.  He had taken an elderly couple hostage, but released them unharmed, then took off.

Lynch says Ma'Shooq has an extensive criminal history.  He's not discussing any possible motive for the murder or how investigators identified Ma'Shooq as a suspect in this case.
