Bradenton, Fla. (970 WFLA) - Manatee County Sheriff's detectives say a 17-year-old murdered two men behind a strip mall late Saturday. They obtained an arrest warrant for Joe S. Clerjuste of Bradenton for the murders of Caleb Bowman and Kemundrey Pittmon, who are both 18.
The Sheriff's Office said that its Homicide Team began investigating after learning that Bowman had gone to Manatee Memorial Hospital with at least bullet wound at around midnight Sunday. Their search led to the back of a shopping center at 2114 Cortez Rd. W., Bradenton, where they found Pittmon dead from a gunshot wound.
Detectives believe both murders happened there. They did not offer details in a news release about what might have led to the killings. They ask anyone who knows where Clerjuste is to contact the MCSO at 941-747-3011 or Crime Stoppers at 866-634-TIPS.
