Polk County, Fla. (970 WFLA) - A head-on crash between an SUV and a motorcycle Sunday afternoon killed the two people on the bike, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Laura Belotti, 61, of Zephyrhills, drove north on US-98 north of Rockridge Road just before 4:30 p.m. when troopers say she pulled out into the southbound lane to make a pass. That's when her Ford Escape collided with the Harley Davidson with two people aboard, according to a news release from the FHP.
Arthur Charles Brill, 72, and Susan Rodriguez-Rivera, 70, who both lived in Lakeland, both died at the scene. Charges are pending against Belotti, the news release said.
