Seffner, Fla. (NewsRadio WFLA)- A four year old girl is now in protective custody, after the Hillsborough Sheriff's Office says she was abused by her mothers live in boyfriend.
The couple brought the injured child to Brandon Regional Hospital ER claiming the injuries were self inflicted. Detectives investigated and determined her injuries were consistent with a pattern of physical abuse over time.
The mothers boyfriend, 28 year old Allen Stanford is now charged with three counts of aggravated child abuse and child neglect.
