Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Williams can't seem to keep his name out of the headlines this offseason. No, that is not saying he is to blame for it all, but for some reason the negativity seems to surround the talented receiver.

When news broke Sunday evening about his stabbing, many started assuming that this was on him and that he continues to make bad decisions. For now, all we know is that a warrant has been issued for the arrest of his brother for more than just questioning but for aggravated battery and domestic violence.

Could this have been avoided? I'm sure it could have. Situations like these don't randomly pop up and it's not everyday where a star athlete gets stabbed by a family member. So all that circles back to none other than Williams.

How so? If there are witnesses saying there was an altercation and a warrant has been issued, this situation goes beyond just "roughhousing" as how it was initially described. Sure he is the victim in all of this, no one is denying that. However, a bad light continues to find Williams.

The big question here should be if he is finding these situations or if they are finding him. Both can be easily remedied but can only be controlled by Williams himself. As for his career with the Buccaneers, they will have to determine if he is influencing these situations or not.
