ST PETERSBURG, Fla. (620 WDAE) - Mark Buehrle has pitched some of his most masterful innings against the Tampa Bay Rays, and he continued the trend Wednesday.

Buehrle came one out away from a complete game shutout, striking out 11, and Jose Bautista homered twice, as the Toronto Blue Jays took a second straight game against the Rays 3-0.

Tampa Bay got just a one out single by Logan Forsythe in the second inning, a double by Forsythe to lead off the fifth, a flare single in the seventh by Evan Longoria, and a single by Ben Zobrist with two outs in the ninth.  Buehrle allowed just one other baserunner on a walk to Yunel Escobar leading off the sixth.

Toronto used a three-batter stretch in the fourth inning to pick up all the offense it would need Wednesday.  Bautista led off the inning with a solo home run to left field.  Edwin Encarnacion then doubled to left and scored on a base hit by Dioner Navarro.

Bautista added a second home run, this time off Josh Lueke, with one out in the seventh.

Following Zobrist's hit in the ninth, John Gibbons went to Sergio Santos, who walked Longoria, and Brett Cecil struck out pinch-hitter Matt Joyce to end the game

Tampa Bay will need a victory in Thursday's series finale, as Chris Archer (9-7, 3.22 ERA in 2013) takes on Brandon Morrow (2-3, 5.63 ERA in '13).  First pitch is scheduled for 7:10, with coverage on WDAE starting at 6:00
