Often times, people ask me how I was able to get this gig as a radio adchor and reporter here at the bay area news and information powerhouse Newsradio 970 WFLA. Well, I can tell you this first. Nothing would have happened with out a viable radio news demo. So I decided to post mine here so you can hear what an "audio resume"sounds like.

These guys a really a couple of good sports. I'm sure they're getting well paid, but still a couple of good sports.

Tampa, Fla. (970 WFLA) - For a brief time Saturday, runway 1L/19R at Tampa International Airport was closed to all air traffic. But foot
traffic was permitted.

The Tampa International Airport 5K Runway Fun Run was being held to raise money for the United Way Suncoast.

Officials at TIA had to jump through plenty of hoops to make this happen. Not only was permission from the FAA needed to close the runway for an hour, the airspace on that west side of the airport needed to be shut down.

Hundreds of people showed up to run the almost 3 mile course which included not only the runway, but some areas around the old air cargo warehouses.

As you would imagine, security was tight. There was a heavy presence of TSA agents along with Tampa Police and their K-9
officers.
