If you just look at the gross numbers, you’d think the news is pretty good. At the close of last year, the big businesses that make up the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index, earned about $230 billion, a $12 billion increase over the previous year.

RUSH: The seasonal adjustment number has been devised as a way of softening the blow, mitigating the impact of the real unemployment news, and it's something that's been going on a long time...

RUSH: It's an affront! It's the president of the United States telling Catholics he doesn't believe what they believe. And he doesn't respect their right to believe it. And that they are wrong. And that the state will have dominion over the Catholic Church.

RUSH: I'm minding my own business, trying to do a little show prep on Sunday, and I'm reading the New York Post and, lo and behold, there's another Kennedy babe.

RUSH: When the media has a role in defining your image, then the media can shatter it.

RUSH: I'm just gonna give him the benefit of the doubt and suggest he got suckered into this. All this talk of "working together"? You know, that's always what people say when the Democrats are about to get shellacked.

RUSH: Breaking news: "Appeals court rules that California's voter-approved ban on same-sex marriages is unconstitutional."  Voter-approved...Why even bother to have elections in California?  Why even bother to go through this process?  This is letting the guys in the black robes decide everything.

COTTLE: I'm just stunned that the words "as a journalist" came out of that man's mouth. He spends all his time telling us how he's an entertainer, but now he's "a journalist" with objectivity and credibility.

RUSH: Now, you let some conservative newsperson say "Governor Jew" -- sayonara. "Governor Muslim" -- sayonara, pal! Adios! It's to Tijuana for you.

RUSH: Public Policy Polling has a story out today that Santorum's gonna do well in Missouri, Minnesota and Colorado. If all these things happen, it could have the potential, the possibility, to upset the applecart -- at least from the standpoint of inevitability for Romney.
