The Tampa Bay area has lost a dedicated veteran and family man. Earl Eldred Bennett Jr., a native of Sable Chasm, New York, served as a U.S. Navy submarine seaman. A sports enthusiast, Mr. Bennett enjoyed baseball, football, and basketball. He is survived by his wife Gloria as well as his daughter Patricia Dubrey and 9 grandchildren. Mr. Bennett’s son Benjamin passed away in 2010.

Robert B. Tanis, is a WWII Navy veteran, 86 yrs. old, and lives in St. Petersburg, FL. He was born and raised in Chicago and enlisted in the Navy in his late teens shortly after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Robert has been happily married to Marquise C. Tanis for 66 years.
