New Port Richey, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Pasco County Fire-Rescue is investigating an arson fire at a house that was home to a man arrested for molesting a child.
Investigators say the fire at 12145 Havana Avenue was intentionally set. They think the place was torched because it was the home of 60 year-old Spencer Joyce. Joyce was caught molesting a 7 year-old girl in the parking lot of a McDonald's restaurant last month.
The little girl's caregiver caught Joyce in the act and beat the old man. Joyce was charged with capital sexual battery in that case.
Investigators are asking anyone with information on the fire to give them a call.
