Thanksgiving Day--Not Just for Feasting


In spite of a consumer backlash on having so many stores open on Thanksgiving Day, you can still go somewhere to shop rather than stuffing yourself with stuffing.

These are the Bay Area stores open on Thanksgiving:

At 3 p.m.--JC Penney

At 4 p.m.--HH Gregg, Michael's and Winn Dixie

At 5 p.m.--Best Buy and Toys R Us

At 6 p.m.--Target, Kmart, Wal-mart, Kohl's, Macy's, Sears, Dick's Sporting Goods, Sports Authority, Westshore Plaza, Tyrone Square Mall, Gulf View Square Mall, Ellenton Outlets, Tampa Premium Outlets, Lakeland Square Mall and University Town Center.

These Stores will remain open all night through Black Friday;

Wal-Mart, Toys r Us, JC Penney, and Kohl's.

Stores closed on Thanksgiving are:

Gamestop, Costco, Sam's Club, Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores, Publix, Fresh Market, International Plaza, Shops at Wiregrass, Westfield Brandon, Westfield Citrus Park, Westfield Countryside, Westfield Southgate, Eagle Ridge Mall and University Mall.  


Black Friday openings:

5 a.m.--Sears, Dick's Sporting Goods, Gamestop, Westfield Brandon, Westfield Citrus Park, and Westfield Countryside.

6 a.m.--Target, Macy's Sports Authority, Westshore Plaza, Tyrone Square Mall, Gulfview Square Mall, Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores, Eagle Ridge Mall, Ellenton Outlets, Tampa Premium Outlets

7 a.m.--Michael's

8 a.m.--Best Buy, International Plaza, Shops at Wiregrass and Westfield Southgate
