Plant City, Fla. (970 WFLA) - Hillsborough County Sheriff's Detectives have charged a Plant City father with manslaughter following the deadly Christmas night shooting of his son at their home.
Deputies were called out to 2727 Forbes Road South after a 911 call from someone inside the home telling them that 82-year-old Guy Vickery had shot his son, 50-year-old, Benjamin, during an argument. Benjamin Vickery was taken to South Florida Baptist Hospital where he later died from injuries to his upper body according to detectives.
Guy Vickery is currently being held without bond in the Hillsborough County Jail. He is expected to have his first court appearance today where the judge could set bond in his case.
